Made up of members of all ages, genders, backgrounds and sexual orientations;

we welcome individuals of varying badminton abilities.

Sessions & Socials

Join us at our next session and keep up to date with our events.

ShuttleScots organises two sessions during the week; a Thursday Social Session and a Saturday Intermediate Session. If you’d like to join us at either, feel free to drop in, or send us a message and someone will meet you at reception to show you around.

Social activities are a key part of the club and are regularly organised by members and the committee. Check our Facebook page and get in touch if you want to join -  https://www.facebook.com/groups/shuttlescots/

To ensure that all members can be sure of an enjoyable and supportive club, all attendees are required to familiarise themselves with the Club Code of Conduct

Term dates 2019  (13weeks per term)

Thursdays - 12 Sept to 5 Dec'19

Saturdays - 14 Sept to 7 Dec'19

Thursdays | 7pm – 9pm Edinburgh Academy

The Social Sessions allow us to play a few friendly games of badminton, meet some new people and have a laugh.

We play mixed doubles on four courts. To make sure that we get varied and mixed games, we organise players for matches by laying down our rackets to choose from at random.

To ensure an enjoyable game for all, for the first hour the courts may be divided into two categories (Beginner/Post Beginner) and (Intermediate/Advanced).

The second hour of play where desired would involve a mix of all levels playing.

Saturdays |12noon-2.30pm

Leith Community Centre

The Intermediate Sessions give us a chance to play some competitive yet friendly games. It is expected that players will be able to play at a competitive level, so if you are unsure of the ability level come along on a Thursday and see how you get on.

We play games of mixed doubles on four courts, with occasional space for singles matches. To encourage challenging games, matches are self organised amongst players with priority given to those sitting off.
